Last year Google Chrome started to show easily which tab was emitting some sound in the browser. When a video, music or any other object on a page is emitting some sound, the tab in question shows an icon in the right corner to signal who is bothering.

The point is that Google Chrome only denounces which tab is making noise, but does not give you the option to silence it. You need to open the page and look for where the sound is coming from, which is sometimes impossible. This is because some pages use embedded audio, not offering a way to stop sound.
Well, now our problems are over. The blog OMG! Chrome discovered an experimental function in Chrome that lets you silence the page with just one click. To activate the function, follow the following steps:
- Enter the Chrome address bar: chrome://flags
- Press ctrl + f and type "audio silence" (no quotes).
- Click Activate.
- If necessary, restart Chrome. (In Chrome OS a system restart is required)

Okay, just test the function.

Simple, isn't it? If you want to disable the function, just follow the same path.
