The next version of the most used operating system in the world was announced today, (30), in an event by Microsoft. The new system takes the name of Windows 10 and will be multi-platform, i.e. a single system compatible with smartphones and computers. Still according to the company, there will be a single store, the One Store, to purchase and download universal applications.
Among the new features of Windows 10, we have the back of the so acclaimed Start menu that now allows you to customize the display of the apps and Live Tiles, as on the Windows 8 home screen. Universal research is also back on the menu.

Another novelty is the multiple desktop manager, with him it is possible to manage various desktop environments using the new "Task View" button or simply sliding your finger to the left. With the function, you can view thumbnails of open desktops and remove applications. The feature somewhat resembles the Mac OS Exposé.

According to the ad, the company tries to make Windows 7 users feel more "at home" with a familiar interface. But some things from Windows 8 remain, like the "Charm Bar".

For users of touch-screen devices, most of the Windows 8 functions remain, such as the home screen.

The new version of Windows will be released by the end of 2015, it is not known when, but according to the company calendar, it is likely to be between September and October. In April, Microsoft will hold the "BUILD" conference to provide more information about universal applications.

Starting tomorrow, 1st, Microsoft will release the development version for download.
