You remember Secret? It is impossible to talk about Unseen without mentioning it, because the mechanism of operation is practically the same. The difference is that Unseen is site-based, Secret was already building the message circle based on his Facebook friends.
About the app
Created by American startup Bearch, the app allows users from the same university to share messages, photos and gifs anonymously. Everything is mounted on a local timeline, but you can check the messages of university users near yours.
In an increasingly connected world, why an "anonymous" social network? The answer lies in the question itself. Unseen came to allow people to share their thoughts and ideas without all that unnecessary exposure from conventional social networks. We know the flame which is generated when some opinions differ on Facebook, for example.
That's the premise: Allowing a secret socialization.
Unlike social networks, in Unseen it is not necessary to create a profile, you have no friends, connections or followers. The proposal is no rules, no networks, no excuses. Users who comment on publications receive a random avatar that only serves that publication. When you comment on another post, the avatar changes.
Can not get message: %s %s However, it is possible to talk to other users via private chat, anonymously, of course.
The Timeline.
Unseen does not allow posting images from the smartphone gallery, i.e. only images taken with the app are allowed. This is an attempt to bring live content into the app, and it is only possible to post things in real time. Publications represent real and everyday moments, showing what is happening without people having to worry about images.
Privacy
In Unseen there is no registration, name, login or password. When installing the app you select your university (or the one you want to be part of) and ready. According to developers, messages are encrypted and only the receiver has access. Privately shared content can only be viewed once by the user and is not stored, without the possibility of rescuing any record.
Developers
The app was developed by Michael Schramm and Munjal Budhabhatti, co-founders of Bearch, a company based in Austin, Texas. In a short time, Unseen reached enough audience to set up startup for good and attract investors. Initially launched in the United States, the app is already available in Canada and, as part of the expansion strategy, the company opened an office in Porto Alegre – RS, in late 2014, for the official release in Brazil.
