Google today made a very interesting little update on its social network, the Google+. Now all corporate profiles and pages will display a view counter next to the number of followers. The number displayed is the total sum of views of the page, posts and photos since October 2012.
The surprise is great when you see the amount of people who have seen its content. Is that a Facebook answer? As many of you know, Mark Zuckerberg's network, in yet another effort to make money, limited the organic reach of content posted on the site and began to charge as an ad for this content to be delivered to users. This attitude generated a lot of stress for sites that had Facebook pages as the main source of traffic, reducing page views by 80%.
Another timid novelty in Google+ is the integration of Analytics, a service for analysis of visits on the company's own websites, with the social network pages. Now when a page administrator accesses your control panel, you will see in the upper right corner a box with a summary of the visits obtained on the site if the page has a site connected to it.
