The gps app and navigation Waze began testing a new feature that promises to alert users when they are near a track with a high accident rate.
The beta version of the application already highlights some routes in red color, similarly when you have heavy traffic or traffic jam, but with a textual warning that the track is dangerous by the high level of reported accidents.

The discovery was made by the site geek time and, according to the information, the novelty serves only for paths unknown by the user. For frequent routes already carried out by the driver, the app stops displaying the alert.
The new feature uses the accident information sent by users as a source, and it is possible to disable it in the application settings under "Accident History".
There is still no official date of release of the functionality for the productive versions of the application.
