Without fuss, Google debuted in early April the OneBox, its concept of universal search that gathers information from different services of the company from the same term introduced in its conventional search.
Called the Universal Search in Brazil, the concept already allows Brazilians to find information about film sessions in the main capitals in the country and offers of books available within the Google Search Books, confirmed Google Brazil on Friday (11/04).
Since April 4, the result of the search for the title of a film asks the user to enter the name of the city where he lives, referring to a list of cinema sessions available showing a certain work.
Google Brazil has confirmed that cinemas in the cities of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte and Porto Alegre are already functioning – many companies in the sector in these cities, however, have not yet closed content agreements, which leads to incomplete results.
The Google Book Search service is also ready and running, said the searcher, adding that books found in the service already contain links to virtual stores where the works can be purchased.
Google Brasil stated that the Universal Search has no date for official release and should be gaining functions gradually.
