SÃO PAULO – The first package of Windows Vista updates has the great appeal to expand system compatibility.
In the package, Microsoft puts adjustments for Vista to recognize more hardware types and be compatible with more applications. No Vista blog, however, it is possible to find furious comments with SP1.
Available on Microsoft's website to be downloaded manually, the package has caused problems on some machines, especially those using nVidia components.
SP1 can also be downloaded on Windows Update, in this case, however, the system identifies whether the update will cause drivers problems and, when noticing the problem, is cancelled.
According to Microsoft, there is a permanent effort between the company and the component industry that aims to solve drivers compatibility problems. Vista's recent SP1 was available in 5 languages, English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.
The SP1 of Vista for Portuguese copies will be made available later this semester, says Microsoft Brasil.
