Certainly good news for nostalgic players, TecToy announced a re-release for the original Mega Drive.
Success in the 1990s, Mega Drive was Sega's bet on direct competition with Super Nintendo. Some say that the console, manufactured and distributed in Brazil by TecToy, was superior to Nintendo's at the time.
Now, 26 years later, TecToy decided to relaunch the Mega Drive in original size and with cartridge input.
The console will work in two ways: With 22 games already stored in memory and through the cartridges of the time, which can be reconnected to the device.
Among the games that will come preloaded in memory are classics such as Alex Kid, Sonic, Golden Axe and Shinobi.
Pre-sale has already begun in R$ 399, with 5% discount for purchases via billet. The device comes with AC cable, a classic 3-button joystick, an Audio/Video cable and instruction manual. You can also buy additional joysticks to the value of R$ 49.
Now for the bad news: The device has no HDMI input and the delivery will start only from June 2017.
