Who has been on the Internet longer will remember Google Sites. The Google service that allows the creation of web pages was launched in 2008, two years after the purchase of the JotSpot startup and, to date, has not received any interesting updates.
The service is free and allows the creation of full websites, as well as offering 100 MB of disk space to host files and images. The development of the pages is intuitive, shows exactly how the page will be displayed and allows editing specific parts of the site. It is also possible to map a domain of its own, that is, to use a domain ". with" or ".com.br" for your website.
As previously said, Google Sites had not received updates since its release until today, but this will soon change. Google's own information reveals that the development team would be working on a new version focused on the corporate market.
The Future of Google Sites

The new Google Sites will be integrated with other services offered by the company, such as Maps, Drive, Docs and Calendar. The premise is to spread information easier within a company.
The service will allow, as before, editing with simple drag and drop elements on a page. It will also be possible for several people to edit the same site as with documents on Google Docs.
More than 30 themes ready to save will also be initially offered when choosing the layout of your data, all with responsive design to work on both 30-inch monitors and smartphones.
According to Google, the new Google Sites should be launched in 2017, but users who work in companies that use Google Apps and want to test it first, you can register by this site here.
Also, according to the company, the old version of the service will be available for another year after the launch of the new one and, in future, will offer tools to migrate your data from one service to another.
