Samsung announced on the last day 6 its new smartphone, the Galaxy S7 Active. As the name itself says, the new apparatus is part of the S7 family, but in a segment Hardcore.

With a more robust design, leaving aside the delicacy of the conventional S7, Active arrives reinforced housing and a larger battery. The Super AMOLED 5.1 inches screen of the device has Wide Quad HD resolution with 2560×1440 pixels, is reinforced with Gorilla Glass 4 and has an extra layer of polycarbonate, ensuring protection from falls up to 1.5 meters.

In addition, the device has physical buttons on the front, different from the capacitives available in the S7. The fingerprint reader was kept, plus a button on the side that can be programmed to do anything.
The Galaxy S7 Active is 33 grams heavier and 2mm thicker than the Galaxy S7, weighing 185 grams 9.9 mm thick. As previously said, the battery is larger, with 4,000 mAh capacity with fast and wireless charging.
The IP68 certification ensures the device is protected from dust and submerged up to 1.5 meters in water for up to 30 minutes. In addition, the device is the first to pass the MIL-STD-810G, a standard created for military equipment issued by the United States Army Development Test Command.
The device will be available from the next day 10 costing US$ 795 in the States. There is still no information about the coming to the Brazilian market, but it is known that it would be a good request for the clumsy.
