The Internet has been targeted by a handful of fake news for the past week. First came the story that WhatsApp would warn you when someone took a screenshot (or print) of your conversation, something like Snapchat does when someone takes a screenshot of a snap you sent. Obviously it was a lie. The attack of the turn now is Instagram.
According to Portal Updated, the same website that published WhatsApp news, Instagram would receive next month the function of "recent visitors". Function similar to that available on the extinct social network Orkut, who showed a list of the five people who were snooping around his profile.

At first until I was euphoric about this news, but a few seconds were enough to discredit what I had read. First because the site that published the note does not disclose any source of information, second because it is the same site in the history of WhatsApp.
A quick search of Instagram publications shows that at no time do developers cite or announce any new functionality. On the official blogs of the app: there is nothing either.
Then why did the Portal Updated site post this? Probably to cause a buzz and, as a consequence, raise access to the site. There are many sites that work with this type of hoax, already managed by those who understand a little more technology.
Unfortunately, there is no way to track who visits your Instagram profile and any app that offers this may be ill-intentioned. So be careful, try to inform yourself before installing any extension in your browser or access any website you consider suspicious.
