TBS will broadcast Counter-Strike championship: GO in 2016

The branch of e-sports has been gaining notoriety in recent years and this attracts not only investors, but also media interested in advertising.
This is the case with the American TBS channel. Known for its humor programming with "Seinfeld", "The Office" and "Family Guy", the channel signed a partnership with Valve, a company with the Counter-Strike franchise, to broadcast a Counter-Strike championship: Global Offensive 2016.
The project, according to channel information, has been developing since last year and will consist of teams of five players who will compete for a cash prize. The amount was not revealed until then, but it is known that the championship will be broadcast in 20 programs, recorded with an on-site audience and displayed on Friday nights in the United States.
Lenny Daniels, president of Turner Sports, stated that this is a way to "bring light" to the sport mode, taking into account the average range of TBS of 90 million homes.
Information about the teams and awards values will be released later this year.
Counter Strike: GO is currently Valve's most played FPS and is available in Steam by R$ 24.99.
