Microsoft Brazil announces the opening of registrations for Students to Business, a program that has created to train high school, technical and university students in information technology. Since the program was created, a year ago, 68,000 students have signed up to participate. Three thousand of them completed the stages and half began working during the course.
There are three stages, with a total workload of 84 hours: in the first, there is a class on the market and IT and the presentation of the related areas so that students choose in which they want to work; from the second, classes are formed for each of the modalities. At the end of each stage, a test is performed to assess whether the student will pass phase or not.
The program also facilitates contact between Microsoft students and partner companies interested in labour. This year, the program will cover the following locations: Araraquara, Bauru, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Campo Limpo Paulista, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Goiânia, Joinville, Manaus, Maringá, Olinda, Paraíba, Petropolis, Porto Alegre, Recife, Ribeirão Preto, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, São Paulo, Sergipe and Vitória.
