Facebook should win a business-oriented version soon. The "Facebook at Work", as it is initially called, will be a set of tools with specific services to meet administrative needs. The service arrives to compete directly with Microsoft and its Office Online package.
According to information already disclosed, with the service it will be possible to perform tasks such as sharing text files, spreadsheets and simultaneous editing of documents. Information indicates that the interface should be similar to that of traditional Facebook.
At first there will be no registration fee to be charged by Zuckerberg's company, but it is estimated that the product should be marketed.
As stated earlier, the main competitor of the new service is Microsoft which recently integrated Skype into the service of business meeting Lync, enabling improvements in the service available in the Office. It is worth remembering that Microsoft still dominates this market and it will not be easy for Facebook to compete in it.
Rumors indicate that the Facebook at Work it is in the final phase of tests with selected companies in the United States and, according to the report of the The Wall Street Journal, should be released as early as 2015.
