Microsoft will reveal DirectX 11

Unlike DirectX 9, DirectX 10 has no longer than four years of life, as Microsoft plans to introduce DirectX 11's Application Programming Interface resources to a conference next week in Seattle. In addition, ATi and NVIDIA also plan to discuss Direct3D 11 resources at future conferences.

Microsoft will have four sessions dedicated to the Direct3D 11 API, according to the XNA conference agenda. The company plans to introduce Direct3D 11, reveal details about new features, new types of shaders and more.
