As many of you know, since September of last year Gmail has adopted a new pattern to display the inbox of your email. This pattern, which caused a lot of headache at first for those who work with email marketing, consists in separating the messages you receive into three tabs: The "Principal", where private emails, "Social" arrive to receive notifications from social networks and applications and the "Promotions" tab, where messages with "propaganda" arrive, such as Groupon promotions.

With this change, people stopped accessing the promotions tab, because most of the messages that arrive there are precisely promotional, often not interesting to the owner of the email. Thinking about it, the Gmail developers team looked for a way to make this section more interesting with a more attractive navigation the offers the user receives.
According to a post in official blog Gmail is already testing an option that displays the messages of the "grade"-shaped promotions tab with images and a small description of what is offered.

The novelty, however, is only available for testing for U.S. users, but should not take long to get here.
