An agreement between Nokia and Skype came into force today. Companies want to take IP communication technology to Smartphones. Under the terms of the partnership, the first device to be offered with Skype will be the N97, which should reach the market in the third quarter of 2009.
According to information released by the Finnish company, Skype features will be integrated into the mobile contact list, facilitating access to availability information, as well as sending instant messages and calls using the Voice over IP service, via 3G or wi-fi.
