Google announced yesterday, 25, that it signed a partnership with Luxottica Group, a company that controls Ray-Ban, Oakley and several other brands of glasses, to manufacture new frames for Google Glass.
There are no details yet released, but it is perceived that Luxottica will offer its manufacturing experience to help develop new model designs for Glass' future marketing.
According to a Google spokesman, the company has no plans to announce new frames at this time, but this is "the beginning of a new chapter in the Glass project".
Google Glass is a goggle-shaped accessory that enables the user to perform various activities from voice commands. You can take photos, send messages and even make a video call. Google Glass is not yet available on the market, and its acquisition is only by direct application to the company.
