Mac App Store reaches 1 million downloads

Last Thursday, the 6th, Apple launched the Mac App Store, your app store for Mac systems. By the end of the first day of release, the store reached the mark of 1 million downloads of the available applications.
The store is now available to users of version 10.6 of the company's operating system, Snow Leopard, through a software update. The new version of the system will also have store support.
About a thousand downloadable applications are currently available, but this number should triple by the end of next week.
"We are fascinated by the incredible response that the Mac App Store is receiving", says Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple, quoted in statement. " Users are loving the simple and fun way the store works.", says Jobs.
But as not everything is flowers, less than 24 hours of Mac App Store operation and it has already been attacked by a group of hackers trying to bypass the copy protection system of the available apps.
