The pre-beta version of Windows 7, which was made available to developers during the Professional Developers Conference (PDC) last week, has appeared on several BitTorrent web sites, with thousands of enthusiasts worldwide downloading the system.
Sites well known as The Pirate Bay and Mininova host 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the operating system. At The Pirate Bay, a copy of the 32-bit edition has over 1000 people sharing and over 7000 downloading.
The 64 bit edition is a little less popular, with about 100 people sharing and about a thousand downloading.
