Microsoft Hires Windows Vista "Gurus"

Microsoft is recruiting experts in Windows Vista. This massive hiring is part of the operating system's promotion plan, where Microsoft has revealed spending about $300 million.

So far 155 Windows Vista "gurus" have been hired and distributed to stores such as Best Buy, Circuit City, among other retail companies. These experts are responsible for demonstrating and answering questions related to Windows Vista.

Windows Vista's "gurus" are paid at $20 an hour, being a much higher price than many of its kind of jobs. This situation is not unheard of by Microsoft and is also not alone in this "battle" of promotion, Apple also has highly specialized promoters in the products being in turn distributed to the "Apple Stores".

Bill Veghte, Vice President of Online Services and Windows Business Group, revealed that «we intend to offer a service of first class service, so that our brand is highlighted. It is for this purpose that we are working with our retail partners, helping customers in choosing the computer with Windows».
