• Connect to any WiFi network via the player to use new services (all Zune players have WiFi).
• Buy music from the store Zune Marketplace direct from the device of any WiFi hotspot in the world.
• Buy from FM (Buy from FM radio) allows the Zune player to instantly buy the music you are listening to on the radio (all Zune players have built-in FM radio), as long as you are connected via WiFi. If you are not, the player creates a list of the songs you marked for purchase and the next time you connect you can see your shopping list.
• Channels (channels): a new function of music channels recommended by experts from Billboard, magazine The FADER, American radio KEXP, among others, for the user who wants to discover new songs. • Update Social Zune in any hotspot: the Social Zune is the community of Zune, an Orkut for music fans. You create a card (Zune Card) with your musical identity that you can share with your friends, with websites and other Zune players. This card shows others what you are listening to from music and allows you to see what your friends are listening to as well. The novelty is that it is now possible to update Zune Cards in the player through any hotspot to learn the news of your friends.
• Mixview: the user of Zune software can activate a dynamic display mode that features new artists and albums to listen to.
• Now Playing (Playing Now): This software function has been updated to be interactive. When placed in this mode, Zune software displays in full screen all album covers in your collection and allows you to click on the covers for information on bands and albums.
• Games: Zunes players now allow games and there will be two games for free, "Hexic" and "Texas Hold 'Em" (a poker game).
• Audiobook support in Audiobooks format.
• Support for books from Audible.
• Support for content from OverDrive, which aggregates audio books and e-Books from more than 7,500 libraries around the world (with English content as well).
