Download now Windows Media Center "Fiji".
officially called Windows Media Center TV Pack 2008, Fiji brings new features such as 16 by 9 format miniatures and settings for high-definition video recording. The control of TV reception plates received improvements. And there is more ease for the user to set custom channel numbers.
However, some of the most expected features, such as programming support from DirecTV (in Brazil, Sky) and video standard H.264, seem to be missing. The DVR-MS (Microsoft Digital Video Recording) format, used for video recording, is being replaced by a new standard called WTV. At least in theory, this can facilitate the exchange of video files with applications from other manufacturers.
Fiji is known to be being secretly tested by American users for several months. The alias even generated a complaint from the Fijian government, which did not like to see the name of the country associated with a Microsoft product. Now, a note from Microsoft Knowledge Base confirms that the English version is ready. It would already be being distributed to micro manufacturers to be installed on new machines.
