Microsoft will sell ‘Albany’ for US$ 70 per year

Microsoft has chosen the name "Equipt" for its new suite of products that will include Office, security software and other services and will sell the package for an annual US fee$ 69.99.

Equipt, formerly known as Albany, includes Office Home and Student 2007, Windows Live OneCare, Office Live Workspaces, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Photo Gallery. Microsoft plans to start sales in the US from July 15 through Circuit City. The package will also be offered in other countries during the same period, but the price has not been disclosed.
