Microsoft will require hardware manufacturers to test their drivers on the new Windows 7 before receiving certification for Windows Vista as of June 1, according to documents published on your website. Including drivers for Windows Vista and Server 2008.
Microsoft said drivers do not necessarily have to pass the first tests, but that manufacturers will be charged back to solve problems in the future.
For market observers, the objective of the requirement is to avoid compatibility problems faced by previous versions of the operating system, such as fiasocs in Vista.
The date of the first Windows 7 beta has not yet been revealed. The final version of the system is expected to end 2009 or early 2010.
