With the expansion of the mobile internet market in Brazil, this news is not scary. This week Telebras announced the contract with SKY for the sale of the next generation mobile internet in the country.
According to the website of Telebras, Brasilia will be the first city to provide the service and the facilities for this to happen will be completed later this year. The forecast is in 2012 already the expansion to other cities of Brazil.

According to an announcement made by SKY, the 4G internet will be a little faster than the current 3G connection, about 10 times. Not much, is it? With the level and quality of services offered in Brazil, ten times the speed of this connection will only equal a conventional broadband connection.
Telebras also provides for the progressive supply of up to 5GB of band. The company has up to 30 days to deliver the signal to SKY.
I just hope that with this the quality of the other connections will increase and lower prices, since the 3G internet in Brazil is still a shame.
