For the relief of one, and extreme hatred of another, Mary Jo Foley published on his blog 6 editions on which Windows 7 will be released.
They will be:
- Windows 7 Starter Edition: the capped and very hated version for emerging markets and netbooks;
- Windows 7 Home Premium: equivalent to the "Media Center";
- Windows 7 Home Basic: only for emerging markets;
- Windows 7 Professional: equivalent to Business, but for home and corporate users without volume license contracts;
- Windows 7 Enterprise: for volume allowances;
- Windows 7 Ultimate: for consumers who need/want corporate resources.
Yeah, guys, you read it right, as much as the rumors indicate Microsoft wouldn't release the Starter version, it will.
Another lost rumor was the presence of a specific version for netbooks, which Microsoft would have officially said would launch. Instead, she decided to remove some limitations from the Starter version to run on this type of pc.
The most interesting thing about all this is that Microsoft released two popular versions, Home Basic and Professional, which reminded Windows XP a lot. Of course, most users will opt for one of these two versions.
According to Microsoft, the Ultimate version of the system – (which in "Vista" was a fiasco.) – wins a new proposal. It was intended for users who really need more resources to use the system. And these resources will be delivered together with the system, which is not the case with Vista Ultimate.
That's it, guys, we were looking forward to this news, now just waiting for Microsoft to come to its senses and make a very low-key price unlike Windows Vista. (Stabbed).
