We all know that Windows Vista Preview panel does not work very well, actually it does not support many file types, but on Windows 7 it has been improved.
The preview is enabled by a button in the upper right corner of Windows Explorer. Files like music, videos, HTML documents, photos, WordPad documents (but not Word .DOCX files) are displayed directly on the panel without having to open a separate application. It still doesn't look as good as OS X Leopard Quick Look, which has PDF support and Word and Office documents, but it's definitely better than Vista preview.
